Haikuthon, feature and a call for help!

Wed Jul 1, 2009, 9:21 AM
  • Mood: Passionate
  • Listening to: My father in law talking to my wife in Russian.
  • Reading: Haikuthon submissions
  • Watching: My wife talking to my father in law.
  • Playing: Daikatana, definitely
  • Eating: Soon!
  • Drinking: Chai and kvass!
Ahoy!

My haiku Chain gang submission 1 has, along with Sagat Colored by ~JPJohansson, been featured in a journal by the lovely people at *helping-the-unknown. Very nice indeed! :)

The July Haikuthon has started and there are many fine new participants this year, myself included ;), so I'm sure it's gonna be a blast.
Check out the full participant list here: [link]

So for the third news item. I read in :iconhandyrand:s journal that :iconleptospyrra: is asking for artists to help her raise money for kids with special needs in Sarajevo, Bosnia. Basically she asks you to donate pieces that she can make prints of and sell in her gallery to raise the money. Since I don't make much printable art whatsoever I promised I'd spread the word at least. Read more about it here: [link] or on her profile page.

Besides that I'm still having a great time in Murmansk with my wife and her relatives. We're trying to make as much out of it as we can since we know I'll be going back to Sweden in two weeks and she has to stay to sort out the paperwork that comes with marrying a foreigner. How long, we don't know. Hopefully not more than a month.

The 101 poems project list has been moved here since it made all of my journal entries unnecessary long.

Any offer is put under consideration I believe. Maybe you could offer them a special commission?

I would offer to write a poem for the cause, but I doubt they would be able to use it.
:iconzegovia:

Always a start. :) Plus there are some pretty neat rebates for students, once you start to study.
